BUSINESS TIP OF THE MONTH
The year end is a great time to
think about how you want to
organize your business files for
the next year. Give some thought
to your filing systems and what
you may need to purchase to
organize last year’s files. Do
you need labels? File folders or
storage boxes? A new file
cabinet? Can you shred some of
your old stuff to make room for
the new? Keep in mind, the most
important aspect of your filing
system is that you can retrieve
data easily. Perhaps that
involves a reorganization of
your current files, or moving
entirely to a paperless system.
These considerations now will
make the transition into the new
year smooth and easy. If you
need help or ideas, please feel
free to contact me. I can help
get you organized and filed away
neatly.
ORGANIZATIONS—PERSONAL TIDBITS
I just learned to crochet (this
definitely falls into the
“personal tidbits” category!)
It’s something I’ve wanted to
learn for a long time and I
finally took a stab at it and am
really enjoying it. My boys have
“stolen” the two granny square
afghans I made and use them
quite often, so it has actually
had some practical applications
as well as being fun (who knew?)
I’m starting to do snowflakes to
put on our Christmas tree… I
remember my mom making them when
I was a kid and always thought
they were really cool! So
consider doing something
creative you might always have
been interested in this holiday
season—it can be a fun, frugal
and “heart felt” gift for the
holidays!
GROWING
MY BUSINESS
I have been working closely with
Joyce Shimetz to create a ‘flat
rate’ system for both my current
and new clients. What this will
accomplish is a predictable rate
per month for my services.
Because of the economy and the
simple ease of billing, this
should make things easier for
all of us. If you would like
more information about this,
please give me a call. More to
come on this system in future
issues.
VIRTUAL
JEANNIE VIRTUAL SPOTLIGHT
This issue’s spotlight is on
you! I would like to take this
space to thank you, my customers
and readers, for your continued
business and support. My
business would not be what it is
today without you.
I would like future issues of
the Virtual Spotlight to reflect
your input. What would you like
to see here in the upcoming
year? What types of businesses
would you like to see profiled?
Would YOU like to be
spotlighted? This is a free
venue I offer my clients and
valued colleagues to get a bit
more exposure for their
businesses. It’s very simple.
All you need to do is submit
something about your business in
writing to me (approximately
500-700 words) and let me know
what month you would like to see
it in.
Please contact me at
virtualj@sonic.net. I’d love
to see you in this spot!
AND….
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
As the holidays approach, I
would like to wish each and
every one of you the very best
of holiday seasons and hope that
you all stay safe and sound.
Please enjoy your families and
reflect on the positives you
have had this year—whether or
not it has been a “good” year in
all respects. January brings in
a clean slate to look forward
to: with some luck, a better
economy; with a bit of
ingenuity, greater prosperity. I
am delighted to help you with
your strategies to grow your
business in any way that I can.
